Benjamin S. Anderson
Benjamin Anderson is a painter and printmaker from Monterey, California. His Bay Area plein air paintings and Ohio-based urban scapes have been a large part of his work. Holding a BFA in painting and printmaking from Ohio Wesleyan University, and a MFA from Bowling Green State University in Ohio.
Benjamin was born in the Northeast, but has lived in many different regions of the United States. He maintains strong ties and familiarity with the visuals of the Bay Area of California, which he finds inspiring. He has been sponsored for artist residencies, juried into national shows, and has combined his love of music and painting into solo exhibitions on the West Coast.
As part of his independent successes as a fine artist, Ben is a strong believer in the open-minded philosophy of learning for life.

Anderson was Faculty for a workshop where students earned college credit. These top tier level students were applying to the top univeristy art programs in the nation.

The beauty of nature is driven by composition, light, and atmorsphere. His residence on the east coast spurred new connections in hopes of sharing more interpretations of nature with the rest of the world.
Anderson paints the golden west coast. This outdoors residency is fully funded, featuring an exhibition of the work to share the experience of plein air.
